Today, Cycle Group Inc. company BOX Components launched their all-new “One Jet” handlebar. The new product stems from BOX-Thrill factory rider and Elite pro, Jared “The Jet” Garcia. Dating a few years back, Garcia had a bad fall during a race that severely damaged his throat, which has since left him with a low, raspy, and soulful voice that we all love.
In the official press release from BOX, they said, “One Jet Bars feature a signature v-bend crossbar designed to help Jared preserve his sexy voice. The lower height of the bar suits his super-low riding style and helps prevent throat-to-bar contact.”
This new signature bar will feature the BOX proprietary Maximums Tapered Butting and will fit BOX Delta and Hollow 31.8 stems, as well as similar sized Promax offerings. If you want to keep it all pro and run the same set up as Jared, match your new set of bars with the Promax Banger stem. Jared also requested these bars come with four degrees of up sweep and 7 degrees of back sweep.
Here are the complete specs on the new One Jet bars from BOX Components:
- Custom and proprietary 13-butted Maximum Tapered 4130 Chromoly tubing
- 31.8 stem clamp area for maximum stiffness
- 8″ x 28.25″ Wide, 7° Back, 4° Up
- Available in black powder coat
- 753 grams/26.5 ounces
The suggested retail price for the tires is $99.95. Not a bad price to stiffen up the cockpit of your ride. Who knows, they may even help you get to the top of the box at your next big race! For more information and to check out the complete BOX line-up, check out boxcomponents.com.
