On Friday, Kink and members of the Kink team began announcing that the jam they had planned in Albuquerque would be canceled to “extreme unforeseen circumstances.” It struck me as a bit odd, but it wasn’t until I saw a “praying” comment from Eric Lichtenberger did I think something was up. I reached out to Darryl Tocco and he explained that Doyle had collapsed while they were loading up the van on Thursday night and been hospitalized under life-threatening conditions… Thankfully, as the statememt below from Kink TM Jay Roe says, he’s now awake, stable, and doing better. The details of what exactly happened are surely to come, but the important thing is that everyone keep Chris in your thoughts…

“On Thursday, April 5th Chris Doyle was hospitalized, after suffering a serious non-BMX related medical emergency in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The situation was life threatening, and Chris was treated almost immediately. He is now doing extremely well, and stable. Things are looking very positive, and he is proving to be stronger and more badass than we could have imagined. With respect to Chris and his family; details and further information will come at a different moment. Thank you for the support for Chris, and keep the positive vibes flowing his way! @chris_doyle22 #kinkbmx #bmx#thelegendgrows” --Jay Roe, Kink Team Manager
