Press Release:

Simpel Sessions 10th Year Anniversary contest on the 6-7th of February 2010

This weekend on 6-7th of February 2010, one of this year’s most anticipated BMX and skate contests, the notorious Simpel Session celebrates its 10th Anniversary in Tallinn, Estonia. 200 contestants from all over the World will be making up the best line-up of riders ever seen at Simpel Session.

“The Simpel Session 10th Anniversary is most probably going to be the all time best event in the history of our contest,” said Mario Kalmre, one of head organizers of Simpel Session. “Although each year the line-up has topped the previous one, it is quite safe to say that this year’s line-up tops them all, which promises some insane and unforgettable action.” Kalmre added, that a total of 200 top BMX riders and skateboarders from 30 countries are arriving to compete in Tallinn – from all over Europe, USA and even Mexico, Brazil, Thailand and Japan. This will make the Simpel Session one of the most international action sports events in the World. "The contest will take place on a brand new course, which is one of the most attractive and massive skateparks Simpel Session has ever built for the event," said Kalmre.

In the BMX discipline, almost entire VANS, Nike6.0, Etnies and Red Bull global pro teams will be competing in Simpel Session 10. In addition to the world's best bike riders Rob Darden, Diogo Canina, Mark Webb, Aaron Ross, Nathan Williams, Dennis Enarson, Morgan Wade, Hoang Tran, Corey Martinez and others, Simpel Session champions Garrett Reynolds, Josh Harrington and three-time Simpel Session silver medalist Gary Young will be riding in the contest.

In skateboarding discipline there are many hot names as well. This year’s main audience attraction in skateboarding is most likely Ryan Sheckler. “Sheckler’s performance in Simpel Session has been awaited for years and this is probably one of the few chances of seeing him skating in Europe,” said Kalmre. Beside last Simpel Session winner Axel Cruysberghs, Simpel Session silver medalists Chris Pfanner from Austria and Phil Zwijsen from Belgium, as well as top contest skaters Austen Seaholm and Kurtis Colamonico from California are flying over. Not to mention the legendary Tom Penny and notorious Johnny Layton.
