Well, the new issue of Ride is starting to reach people today and sprinkles of the juicy stuff is leaking online, so I figured I may as well blow it all out. After 11 Years, Dave Mirra is no longer riding for DC Shoes. I hit up Dave for a statement for the magazine and never heard anything back, buuut the running story is that Dave is furthering his rally career and decided to take a deal with one of DC’s competing rally teams, so they had to severe ties altogether.
And, decade-long DC rider Allan Cooke has decided to take a step back from DC and focus on his Brand Manager position over at Premium/Haro (much like he did a year or so ago when he was on the Haro pro team). Allan gave us a brief statement about his time with DC:
“I can't thank everyone at DC for all of the support over the last 10 years, from the people in the office to everyone who has been on the team. I also have to give a huge shout out to Mike Aland the TM, best dude in the world. He made the DC team have the family feel that every athlete in action sports strives to be a part of, it was the best program I have been a part of over the last 15 years hands down. Not to mention the life changing trips that we all did together. To everyone at DC this isn't a goodbye, it's a see you later.” —AC
