Which parts do you go through the most?
I go through pedals and tires quite a bit.

Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I’m not as picky as most people, but I like my bars as high as I can get them. I’m not the tallest guy in BMX, but my back starts to hurt if I run my bars any lower.

What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
I feel my bars make the biggest difference. I would run the same bars my whole life if I could. Everything I get used to pretty quick.

Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Yeah, my first “real BMX bike” came on Christmas morning in the form of a White Haro 540 Air. It had four pegs and both brakes. It weighed a lot…somewhere in the 30s.

You sustained a pretty bad facial injury this year…have you made a full recovery, and is it back to full face helmets from here on out?
Yeah, I landed on my face in Portland, and crushed the left side of my face. I had to get three plates to hold my eye socket and my cheek back together. I know is sounds stupid, but ever since I took the fullf ace off I’ve been having a lot more fun on my bike. The fully made it hard to just chill and have a good time. It was all business in that thing. So although I wrecked my face again, I don’t think I could go back to the fully…I’m having too much fun.
