Give us a rundown on your signature Connoisseur frame, specs, geometry, etc..
I just wanted a steeper headtube and shorter backend then I've ridden in the past. It has a 75.5° HT and 13.3" backend. I also made the HT taller and the standover 9.25." It feels awesome.
Eben Fischer killed it on the stickers with a lot of details. What exactly are we looking at in the stickers?
Yea Eben killed it for sure. I'm from Illinois and came out west a long time ago and it just reflects on that, with a couple little things I like sprinkled in.
You're also running a signature seat and a prototype stem, right?
Yeah, Eben also did the seat and I really like it. I've never done a pattern type thing so I wanted to do that and I'm psyched with how it came out. And the stem is awesome, I have been riding it all year and the final version will be similar and hopefully out soon.
Describe your bike for us… What makes it your ride?
I definitely like my bike to feel dialed and solid. I run about 80 psi with 2.2" tires. I like my chain tight, but if my cranks are tight I don't care. I keep my bars a tad forward, but probably only noticeable by me. My bars are uncut and everything is really dialed right from the start. I try to keep my wheels straight as possible, but we all know how that goes.
What are you most particular about on your bike?
My bars have to be in the right spot for sure.
Setup/part wise, what was the last big change you made?
I just put 4-piece bars on, I have been wanting some for a while now, no real reason besides that. I’m riding the Stolen Trap bars and they feel amazing and I love how they look on my bike so they will stay put for a bit.
